On the 18th Feb, H&SC gave a presentation to Geoscience Australia (GA) and other interested government parties at the GA offices in Canberra. The purpose of the talk was to go through the components of Resource Estimation explaining concepts and technical terms, bearing in mind the relationship with Table 1 of the JORC Checklist.
Methodologies were described and the talk was essentially a walk through of a resource estimation exercise following industry standard procedures. Anecdotal evidence of when things have gone wrong were also discussed including QAQC failure and suspect mineral domaining. Recognition of red flags in resource estimation was also touched on in order to provide assistance when government personnel are reviewing resource estimation reports.
Similar presentations can be organised and tailored to the specific needs of the audience.
